The Commission on Journalistic Ethics held an extraordinary meeting on May 31, 2024, via Zoom conference, attended by 11 members of the Commission.
During the meeting, in accordance with section 3.11 of the Commission’s Regulations, and following the publication of information regarding censorship in UKRINFORM, specifically the article “All Their Own. How the President’s Office Takes Control of Ukrinform” on Ukrainska Pravda dated May 29, 2024, and the publication on Suspilne titled “The List of Desired/Undesired Speakers in Chernihiv Region Existed, and I Did Not Follow It”: a Correspondent from ‘Ukrinform’ on ‘Temnyky'” dated May 30, 2024, the Commission unanimously decided as follows:
- To express a vote of no confidence in the member of the Commission on Journalistic Ethics, Oleksiy Matsuka;
- To stop the authority of the member of the Commission on Journalistic Ethics, Oleksiy Matsuka, due to the loss of trust.
