Nataliia Humeniuk Wins Special Nomination by Commission on Journalistic Ethics at the “Honor of Profession” Competition

Special nomination at the Professional Journalism Competition “Honor of the Profession” for “Best Material on Adherence to Professional Standards and Journalistic Ethics During the War” was awarded to Nataliia Humeniuk.

The Commission on Journalistic Ethics highly praised her material “Advice to Stop Sounds Like Mockery” for the Mediamaker outlet and the Laboratory of Public Interest Journalism.

In her text, Humeniuk, co-founder of The Reckoning Project and Executive Director of the Laboratory of Public Interest Journalism, reflects on the decreased sensitivity to horrible stories, the point of recording and processing gigabytes of human misery, and why documenting war crimes is important.

We remind you that in 2023, the winners of the special nomination by the Commission on Journalistic Ethics were Slidstvo.Info journalists Anastasiia Horpinchenko and Yakiv Liubchych.
