On November 4, 2024, the Department of Journalism, Advertising, and Public Relations of Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University and the Commission on Journalistic Ethics signed a memorandum of cooperation. The partnership is meant to increase the level of information literacy among students and promote ethical standards in the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of the department, Vitalii Handziuk, noted the importance of this initiative: \u201cAt our university, we train future journalists. We are interested in the opportunity to exchange practical experience to improve our own information literacy and our students\u2019 awareness, and strive to promote ethical standards in the Ukrainian media. We are delighted to become a partner of the Commission on Journalistic Ethics and to hold joint meetings and practical events.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Cooperation between self-regulatory bodies of journalists and educational establishments with journalistic education opportunities is crucial, as it promotes the development of professional ethics and accountability in the media.
